Welcome to the Barkr Client Portal
What the portal does, who it is for, and the shape of the work you will do in it.
Last updated
The Barkr Client Portal is where lenders submit hard assets for valuation, review the price Barkr returns, and hold the contract that stands behind it. Everything below happens in one place, and every item carries a single reference number so you can follow it end to end.
What Barkr does
Illiquid, hard-to-price collateral makes lending conservative. Barkr prices those assets using real-time market data, and then warranties the price: if a warranted asset sells for less than the Barkr Valuation Price, Barkr pays the difference up to the Barkr Max Payout.
That turns a judgement call into a number you can lend against. The portal is how you get that number and how you keep it current.
The three things you will do
- Submit. Send us an asset list and whatever documentation you hold on it. Barkr parses it, prices it, and returns a valuation.
- Accept. Review the valuation. If it works, accept the pricing and choose a contract term and payment plan. Barkr prepares an agreement and sends it for signature.
- Maintain. Over the life of the loan, add or remove assets, renew the contract as it approaches its end date, or cancel it if the loan is repaid early.
Finding your way around
The sidebar on the left is the whole portal:
- Dashboard — what needs your attention today, and the size of your book. See The dashboard.
- Submissions — every asset list you have sent, at whatever stage it has reached.
- Contracts — every agreement you have signed, active or otherwise.
Below those sit Knowledge Center (this documentation), Terms & Conditions, and Contact Support. At the very bottom of the sidebar is a circular button showing your initials — that is your account menu, and it is where Settings lives.
Your account is created for you by the Barkr team; there is no self-service sign-up. If you do not have one yet, request access at barkr.ai.
A few terms worth knowing now
- VSA number — the Valuation Service Agreement number. Assigned when you create a submission, and the reference for everything that follows, including the contract that comes out of it.
- Barkr Valuation Price — the price Barkr puts on the asset.
- Barkr Max Payout — the most Barkr will pay out under the warranty for that asset.
- Barkr Fee — what the warranty costs.
The full list is in the Glossary.
Where to go next
If you have just been given an account, start with Setting up your account. If you are already signed in and want to send us your first asset list, go to How a valuation works for the shape of the process, then Submitting assets for pricing for the mechanics.
