Contacting support
How to reach the Barkr client services team, and what to include.
Last updated
Barkr’s client services team handles questions about pricing, contracts and your account.
From inside the portal
Contact Support sits at the bottom of the sidebar, under the Knowledge Center link. It opens a form and sends your message with your account details already attached.
There is also a Contact Us control above the valuation table on any priced submission. Use that one for questions about a specific valuation — it arrives with the VSA number attached, which saves a round trip.

What to include
One thing above all others: the VSA number. It identifies the submission or contract unambiguously, and almost every question is about one or the other.
Beyond that:
- What you expected, and what happened instead.
- The status the item is currently showing.
- The exact wording of any error message.
- For a pricing query: the specific asset lines, and any evidence you hold that Barkr may not have — a specification, a service record, a comparable sale.
Things worth trying first
| Situation | Try this |
|---|---|
| Setup or reset link expired | Request a new one from the same screen — see Setting up your account. |
| Locked out after failed sign-ins | The lock clears after sixty seconds. Password reset works throughout — see Signing in. |
| Lost your authenticator | Use a recovery code — see Two-factor authentication. |
| Signing link expired | Open the contract in the portal and use Open in BoldSign, which issues a fresh link. |
| Pricing lapsed to Inactive | Request a re-run — see Requesting a re-run. |
| Submission shows Insufficient Data | Barkr will contact you. The status card has a Contact Support button if you would rather not wait. |
Things only Barkr can do
These have no self-service route, so contacting us is the first step rather than the last:
- Adding, removing or changing a user at your organisation.
- Changing who signs a contract.
- Backdating a contract start date.
- Approving a new sale platform.
- Correcting a submission that is locked under review.
If you receive an email about your account that you did not expect — a password reset you did not ask for, or two-factor authentication added to your account — act on it rather than ignoring it. Those emails carry a link to undo the change. Use it, change your password, and tell us.
